About Us

Links

We are a hobby breeder of these beautiful Forest Cats. They have nice personalities and make wonderful companions. Kittens are raised in the house with daily attention.

Siberian cats are often considered hypoallergenic, as some people with cat allergies may have little or no reaction to them. Many of our kittens live in homes with moderate or severe allergies. If you are allergic to cats, please read our Allergies page for reasonable expectations.

Our breeding cats are tested for feline allergens (Fel-d1) levels in fur and saliva.  Larisa, Mariposa and Kaleriia have very low levels of Fel-d1.  Kittens from these lines place very well in allergic households.

To provide the healthiest kittens possible, we breed from genetic lines with no known risks of HCM (heart disease) or PKD (kidney disease).  We strongly support ongoing research that will help find and eliminate these threats to the Siberian breed.

Breeding Cats

Windrifter Larisa         Pedigree     Allergen 2.0 mcg

Larisa is blue with white bib and paws.  She has nice bright copper eyes.

She never meows but greets both cats and people with a wide range of pretty trills and chirps. This is a hereditary trait, so many of her kittens also chirp.

During the day she is often found sitting in a windowsill watching the outdoor world.

Lundberg Mariposa      Pedigree    Allergen 0.6 mcg

Mariposa is a lynx point with lovely facial markings. Cute white mitts contrast with her black ears and tail.

She is a quiet, affectionate cat that likes to be around people and know what is going on.

Mariposa has very low allergen levels. She will be bred in early summer, with kittens expected in fall of 2008.

Kaleriia Wings        Pedigree      Allergen - see notes

Kaleriia is a classic torbie with white. Her wild face is quite typical of older Russian standards.

She was bred by the Wings Cattery in the Czech Republic from grand champion European lines.

Her kittens have rich coloration, great personalities and low allergen levels. No visitor has ever shown an allergic reaction to Kaleriia.

Asthera Jenika          Pedigree       Allergen 15.5 mcg

Jenika is a black silver with white. She is very playful and loves people She comes from Asthera Siberian Cats.

Jenika tested with higher levels of feline allergen. Her kittens will only be placed in homes without cat allergies, or with people who test successfully with her.

Her allergen levels will be retested this summer. For more information, read our Fel-d1 levels page.

Retired Friends

Birchgrove Tolya

Tolya was our first Siberian, and a most affectionate cat.

He now lives a spoiled life as a pet in sunny California. This large red tabby has a deep ruff and very thick paw pads.  Rich copper eyes match his incredibly plush coat.

Tolya came to us from BirchGrove Siberians, a wonderful cattery and good friends of ours.

Birchgrove Kiska

Kiska is pretty silver torbie girl with a nice splash of red along her back.   She had several litters of very cute playful kittens.

Fel-d1 testing showed Kiska had higher levels of feline allergens (16.6 mcg). We retired her in an effort to concentrate on lower allergen lines.
